Ground control to residents: share your memories and souvenirs of the landing on the moon for a display at Campbelltown’s HJ Daley Library to honour the 50th anniversary of man landing on the moon in July.
The display will be part of the celebrations of the first people to land on the moon on 20 July 1969.
Council is looking for any of the local residents who joined with more than 650 million people to tune into the broadcast of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin taking their first steps on the moon.
Photos, souvenirs, memories and stories would be welcomed to be part of the moon landing celebrations as part of the online and static display in July.
Souvenirs and memorabilia are needed by Wednesday 3 July.
Anyone interested in becoming involved in this project or need more information can contact the library on 4645 4431.
