Wollongong City Council has released its draft Collins Creek Flood Study for public exhibition.

We’ll be sharing the report, which covers the Collins Creek catchment in Woonona, Russell Vale, Bellambi and Corrimal, with the community during the public exhibition from 17 June to 19 July, 2019.

Come along to one of our drop-in community information sessions where the floodplain engineers working on the study will be able to answer your questions.

They are on: • Saturday 22 June, drop in anytime between 9:30am – 11am Bulli Senior Citizens Centre, 8 Hospital Rd, Bulli

• Tuesday 25 June, drop in anytime between 4pm – 5:30pm Bulli Surf Lifesaving Club, 1 Trinity Row, Bulli

Following the consideration of submissions received during the public exhibition period, the Collins Creek Flood Study will go to Council for adoption.

After that, we’ll review the Floodplain Risk Management Study to look at what the risks and damage from floods might be, and what we could do to reduce those risks. We’ll again be inviting the community to contribute to that process when the time comes.
