East Gippsland Shire Council would like to advise residents and visitors that there will be two planned ferry outages on Thursday June 27 and Tuesday July 2.
The planned maintenance is to change over drive chains by replacing the passenger and car deck side chains, wheels and modules on the Raymond Island Ferry.
Acting Director Operations Mark Burnett said residents on Raymond Island are encouraged to move their vehicles off the Island on Wednesday 26 June 2019. A continuous service will run Thursday morning from 05:20am – 06:40am to assist with moving vehicles off the island prior to the outage.
“The last Ferry service will occur on Thursday 27 June at 06:40am, the service will resume the next day on Friday 28 June at 05:20am. A Water Taxi will commence operating at 07:00am during the outage.”
“The second planned maintenance will occur on Tuesday 2 July at 06:40am. Again, we encourage residents to move their vehicles off the Island on Monday 1 July 2019. A continuous service will run Tuesday morning from 05:20am – 06:40am,” Mr Burnett said.
The last Ferry service will be on Tuesday 2 July 06:40am and the service will resume the next day on Wednesday 3 July 2019 at 05:20am. The car deck side chain, wheels and modules will be replaced during the second outage. A Water Taxi will commence operating at 07:00am for passengers affected by the maintenance on the ferry.
