Writing Dialogue - with Marlish Glorie

Saturday 27 July, 12.30 - 3.30pm Armadale Library

Marlish Glorie is an experienced teacher and the author of Sea Dog Hotel and The Bookshop on Jacaranda Street.

Marlish will discuss why dialogue is important, and how it contributes to and propels the narrative forward, in a novel or short story. This will include how to write and edit dialogue that isn’t about replicating a real life conversation, but about giving an impression of it, and improving on it.

Please bring writing materials or a laptop with you, as throughout this workshop participants will be given prompts with which to craft stories containing dialogue.

Places are limited and bookings are essential. Call 9394 5125 or visit library.armadale.wa.gov.au to book your place.
