The NSW government has announced the opening of Round Three of the Stronger Country Communities Fund which will deliver crucial local infrastructure and programs to improve the quality of life of people living in regional NSW.

Lithgow LGA has been allocated $843,954 in Round 3, with 50% earmarked for youth-related projects. The program objectives are:

To boost the liveability of communities in regional areas by providing new or upgraded social and sporting infrastructure or community programs that have strong local support.  To provide programs and infrastructure that enhance opportunities for young people to be work ready and thrive in regional NSW.

Local councils, and incorporated, not-for-profit organisations or other organisations that have a public purpose are eligible to apply.

Applications open Monday 1 July 2019 and close 5pm, Friday 27 September 2019 with the Announcement of successful projects expected from January 2020.
