Monday, July 1 – Sunday, July 7, 2019 Brood is a satirical videoludic experience in which the user traverses a digital landscape inscribed with needless information on the Sphynx cat. The selective breeding of cats is used as a metaphor to contrast the fetishization of disability and how we as a society reflect on and value people with disability. It is a shared experience, an encounter through the screen that suggests that the meaning of life cannot be decidedly found in reproduction. Cats do not feel the social pressure of body politics, or the desire to dwell any deeper about their being – they are simply content having a nap.
