Council wishes to advise residents that due to a water main break in Caroline Avenue, Lithgow today, residents on the western side of the Great Western Highway between Tweed Road and Lockyer Street will be affected whilst Council undertakes works to repair the break.

Residents in the affected area may have received water throughout the day whilst Council attempted to shut down the network. Council wishes to advise that whilst repairs are being undertaken residents may experience low water pressure and/or no water. This work will be carried out as quickly as possible to minimise any inconvenience incurred.

Upon return of normal service, residents may experience dirty water for a period. Council will endeavour to minimise this by flushing the mains. Before using the water for domestic purposes, residents are advised to run a tap to ensure the water is clean and any dirt released into the system has been flushed.

Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and would like to ensure residents that the service will be returned as soon as possible.
