NAIDOC Week 2019 will be celebrated at the Lithgow Library with the screening of two documentaries highlighting Indigenous voices.
2019 is the year of Indigenous Languages and the theme for NAIDOC week is Voice, Treaty, Truth. Both themes highlight the need for indigenous voices to be heard so we can move forward together for a shared future.
Lithgow Library will be screening two documentaries that consider the impacts on a culture that is dominated by another. The first documentary Message from Mungo will be screened on Tuesday 9 July at 12:00pm. The second documentary Another Country as told by David Gulpilil will be screened on Thursday 11 July at 12:00pm.
Both screenings are free but bookings are preferred and can be made by contacting the Lithgow Library on 63529100.
