Scouring 300mm Ayr-Brandon Water Trunk Main – Tuesday 9 July 2019

Burdekin Shire Council will be carrying out scouring of the 300mm water main in the northern parts of Ayr, and Brandon on Tuesday 9th July, 2019.

These works will result in a loss of normal water pressure for up to four hours to residents in Brandon and those in Ayr, North of Wilmington Street and west of the Bruce highway including the Ayr Industrial Estate. These residents are advised to store their day’s supply of drinking water before 9:00am on that day. 

Residents in the affected areas may experience water discolouration for a period following the planned works. It is advisable to delay washing of clothes etc., for up to two days after work is completed.

Council regrets any inconvenience that may be caused to residents as a result of these necessary maintenance works.
