Scouring 375mm Trunk Water Main – Railway Street, Ayr – Wednesday 10 July 2019

Burdekin Shire Council will be carrying out scouring of the 375mm trunk water main in Railway Street, Ayr between Burke and MacMillan Streets on Wednesday 10 July, 2019.

These works will result in a loss of water supply to customers directly connected to the 375mm main between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00pm. You are advised to store your day’s supply of drinking water prior to 9:00am on that day.

Residents within a two block radius of Railway Street specifically Burke, Cameron, Wilmington, Munro, Graham, Queen and MacMillan Streets may experience water discoloration for a period following the planned works. It is advisable to delay washing of clothes etc. for up to two days after work is completed.

Council regrets any inconvenience that may be caused to residents as a result of these necessary maintenance works.
