Kurri Kurri Aquatic Fitness Centre (KKAFC) will be closed until Monday 15 July as renewal works are undertaken to improve the functionality and sustainability of the facility.
Cessnock City Council received $20,000 in funding under the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program to upgrade the family changes rooms. In addition, Council is contributing $160,000 to improve pool infrastructure. Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said it’s great to be able to deliver these improvements.
“Thanks to all of the pool users for their patience during this time. We are pleased to be able to deliver an upgrade of the change rooms and improve some of the existing infrastructure.”
All KKAFC members have been notified of the closure. Residents and members can stay up to date during the works via the KKAFC Facebook Page www.facebook.com/kurrikurriafc.
