The Council are thrilled to be this year’s winner of the Local Government Award for Excellence (Larger Councils) for the Dementia-Friendly Central Coast project. The awards were presented at the Local Government Association of Tasmania (LGAT) annual conference in Hobart and the theme of this year’s conference was Finding Your Voice. It is fitting that the Dementia-Friendly Central Coast project took out this year’s award, as it has truly helped people living with dementia in our community to find their voices.
The Council could not have achieved this recognition for the Dementia-Friendly Central Coast project without the hard work, input and other contributions from the many volunteers, stakeholders and service providers involved. Thank you!
