JM Robson Aquatic Centre Change in Operating Hours

From Monday, 15 July 2019 there will be a change in the opening hours of the centre.

From Monday 15 July 2019, the operating hours of Lithgow’s JM Robson Aquatic Centre will be changing. These hours will be in place for the remainder of the winter season and re-evaluated coming into the summer season.

The new opening hours of the facility will be as follows:

Monday – Friday: 6am–8pm Saturday – Sunday: 8am-5pm Public Holidays: 8am-4pm

The decision to change the operating hours of the facility has been made after a review of patronage and ongoing use of the facility in winter months. This analysis has shown that the facility is very popular on weekday mornings and evenings as the indoor facility regularly reaches capacity at these times. However, on weekend evenings usage figures are reduced.

Hence, Council is extending opening hours on weekdays and reducing those on weekends to improve the service provided to the community while maintaining current operating costs. This change will operate on a three month trial with usage figures continuing to be monitored over this time.
