Narooma will benefit from a re-elected Turnbull Coalition Team with the announcement today of a $350,000 commitment to upgrade the Narooma Swimming Pool.
Peter Hendy, Liberal for Eden-Monaro, was joined by Eurobodalla Mayor Lindsay Brown to announce this commitment that will benefit the local community.
“This new funding builds on the Turnbull Liberal Team’s plan for jobs, growth and better infrastructure on the Far South Coast,” Dr Hendy said.
“Upgrading the Narooma pool will provide much needed works for asbestos roof removal and replacement works, refurbishing the entry, and providing an accessible children’s water play area.
These works will deliver an improved local recreational and tourism facility, part of our jobs and growth plan for Narooma.”
Eurobodalla Mayor Lindsay Brown said the project would build on the Council’s existing investment in the pool.
“Upgrading the pool and building an accessible water play area will be a big win for Narooma, providing a better recreational and tourism facility.”
“This will build on the existing plant and facility upgrade at the pool.”
Dr Hendy said the project would form another important element of the Turnbull Liberal Team’s plan for jobs and growth on the Far South Coast.
“I’ve been fighting to deliver for Narooma and the South Coast, and upgrading the Narooma Swimming Pool is another part of our commitment to the South Coast."
