Asbestos information forum for householders

If your home in Eurobodalla was built before 1980, you might be eligible for free asbestos testing and other support.

Eurobodalla residents are invited to NSW Fair Trade's information session to find out about free sample testing, the NSW Government's voluntary purchase and demolition program, health and safety, and laws about selling a property that has loose-fill asbestos.

So far, 58 home owners in Eurobodalla have registered for free sample testing and no properties have tested positive for loose-fill asbestos insulation. Homeowners can register at www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au for a free sample test by 1 August 2016 or call Service NSW on13 77 88 for more information.

The information session will be held on Wednesday 8 June, from 7pm to 8pm at Batemans Bay Soldiers Club.
