Candlagan Bridge at Broulee now open

Candlagan Bridge at Broulee is now open to traffic.

With $2.2m in grant funding from the NSW and Australian governments, Eurobodalla Council used a contractor to replace the original bridge with a new structure that will serve the community for the next 100 years.

The new bridge will provide for two way traffic with on-road bicycle lanes in both directions, and a pedestrian path on the downstream side to link up to the existing path network.

Council has also upgraded the road approaches, the beach access stairs and the car park as part of the project.

An official opening will take place in the coming months.
