Night road works near Hanging Rock at Batemans Bay

Eurobodalla Council is installing new box culverts to control drainage under Beach Road, near the Hanging Rock sportsground and education precinct in Batemans Bay.

The work will take place overnight on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 May, starting at 9pm to allow plenty of time for traffic from the university and the sportsfields to leave the site before work gets underway.

Motorists will still be able to drive through the site, but only two lanes will be open and the area will be under traffic control until 5am, when the four lanes will reopen for the day.

Message boards will be in place and drivers are asked to slow down and take care in the area.

The work is part of a larger project that will see a roundabout constructed at the Beach Road - Hanging Rock junction later this year.
