If you've got little ones aged under six, bring them along to Council’s pop-up playgroups this month at Dalmeny, Nelligen and Tomakin.

Running weekly during May, the pop-ups are being held to gauge interest in permanent playgroups in these three towns.

Council’s 3Bs playgroups - already running in Sunshine Bay, Mogo and Tuross Head - are free and offer craft, music, games, and storytime with qualified early childhood educators. A healthy morning tea is provided, too. There’s no need to book, just show up on the day.

3Bs pop-up playgroups will be held between 10am and 12pm on Mondays at Rotary Park in Dalmeny, on Thursdays at the Wharf playground in Nelligen, and on Fridays at Sunpatch Parade playground in Tomakin.

Coordinator of Council’s Children’s Services Louise Hatton says the 3Bs playgroups are a great opportunity for families to have fun together while preparing young children for school.

“Our professional educators run fun and educational activities for the kids and offer support for parents as their child's first teacher,” Ms Hatton said. “The idea behind the pop-ups is to give families a taste of what they can expect from 3Bs and talk to them about the need for permanent groups in these areas.”
