Eurobodalla Council is seeking feedback from the community on two proposals that will make better use of community resources.

The first is to recategorise part of Melaleuca Reserve in Catalina from park to general community use. This recategorisation will allow Council to grant a 30-year lease to Muddy Puddles, a local not for profit group who have NSW Government funding to build an educational therapy centre for children with a disability.

Under the Local Government Act, a public hearing is required for this proposal. This hearing will take place at 2pm on 27 April 2016 in the Council Chambers at Moruya and residents are welcome to attend to provide their feedback on this re-categorisation and proposed lease.

The second proposal is to consider rezoning part of Albert Ryan Park on Beach Road in Batemans Bay to enable the sale of the land. Parts of the park have potential for development opportunities in the form of medium density housing or tourist and visitor accommodation, and funds from the sale could be directed toward community infrastructure improvements. Members of the community can provide comment on the Albert Ryan Park rezoning proposal until 3 June 2016.
