Runnyford Bridge west of Batemans Bay will be closed for two days next Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 April while Eurobodalla Council conducts bore hole testing from the deck of the bridge.

The testing is required to investigate the local geology around the river and is part of Council’s ongoing maintenance program of the shire’s timber bridges.

The bridge is located on Runnyford Road and provides access to the Princes Highway for residents living west of Batemans Bay, as well as an alternative route to the Kings Highway.

During the closure next week, detours are available via Nelligen and the Kings Highway for those north of the bridge, or through Batemans Bay south of the bridge.
