Clean Up Australia Day is on Sunday 6 March, and registrations are now open to volunteer for the Eurobodalla event.
Last year over 200 volunteers cleaned up local cyclepaths, beaches, walking tracks and waterways.
Eurobodalla’s Clean Up Australia project officer Maree Cadman says it’s easy to get involved and she hopes for even more volunteers for the 2016 event.
“There are two options to get involved. If you know of a place that could use a clean up and are willing to lead a small team of volunteers for an hour or two, you can register that area now and volunteers can join you at the site on the day.
“The other option if you don’t want to register a site yourself is to join an existing group,” she said.
“Even if you can’t get to a clean up site on March 6, you can still be a part of Clean Up Australia Day by registering to clean up a site another day.”
