Gympie Regional Council crews are busy this week, working on a number of major projects and road maintenance activities around the region.
Maintenance activitiesBus shelter maintenance: Nautilus Drive, Emperor Street, King Street, Balkin Street, Sanders Road, Old Moy Pocket Road and Rainbow Beach Road.
Stormwater maintenance: Lily Street, Castlereagh Street and Nautilus Drive.
Bridge maintenance: Weber Road, Randwick Road and Walker Road.
Slashing: Anderleigh area, Cedar Pocket area, Mary Valley area, Goomeri area, Brooweena Woolooga Road, Old Murgon Gayndah Road, Parsons Road, Yeltukka Road, McLeish Road, Cunningham Road, Tagigan Road (shoulders), Feros Road, Richardson Road, Jenkins Road, Bryant Road and Lowe Road.
Rural Road Maintenance: Diamondfield Road, Coppermine Creek Road, Carlsons Road, Poulsen Road, Counter Road, Glen Echo Road, Elginvale Road, Kabunga Road, Planted Creek Road, Westaway Road and Thornside Road.
Asphalt works: Bauple Woolooga Road, Kilkivan Tansey Road, Gympie Connection Road, Tin Can Bay Road, Woodhill Road, Kandanga Imbil Road, Elizabeth Street and Wallader Road.
Construction worksMellor Street, street scaping project: Over the next two weeks council crews will install stormwater drainage and road gully units at Amy Street, construct a concrete pathway to Amy Street, install seating and landscaping, continue asphalt works, line marking and traffic signage. Project completion aimed at 30 July 2019.
Mary Valley Rail Trail (Imbil to Brooloo): The fortnight will see the construction of a gravel carpark at the Imbil end, asphalt works at access points, turfing and grass seed to disturbed areas and the installation of fencing and access gates. Project completion aimed at 30 July 2019.
Rainbow Beach Foreshore – Lions Park: This project involves the construction of kerb and channel, concrete pathway, installation of beach showers and drinking fountains.
River to Rail Trail: The works are located between the existing carpark off Kidgell Street, Gympie along with Stage 3 commencing along Brisbane Road, One Mile. The next two weeks will see construction of gravel walking trails, concrete pathways, hardwood timber stairs and landscaping.
