Baw Baw Shire Council is hosting a free BBQ breakfast for local contractors and business operators on Wednesday 24 July to learn about upcoming opportunities and how to get involved.
Baw Baw Shire Council’s adopted 2019/20 Budget includes $29.6 million for new Capital Works projects to address key priorities identified by residents – including $11 million for road works, a $6.7 million building program, $3.8 million for recreation and open spaces and a $1.3 million investment in new footpaths and footpath renewal.
Both current and interested contractors are encouraged to attend to learn more about upcoming infrastructure projects, expected timeframes, Council’s procurement process and what they need to do to apply.
Council officers and managers will be available to provide a handy overview of the current procurement process – including recent updates - and respond to any questions.
The Breakfast is a new initiative designed to help current and potential contractors engage more closely with key Council departments and make the contract tendering and application process smoother for all involved.
