Cheltenham and Mentone station car parks to close
Bayside City Council 23 Jul 2019

Pre-construction works at the two level crossings in Cheltenham and Mentone have commenced. This will affect Bayside commuters who use the Frankston train line and residents in the Pennydale area who live close to the railway line.

One of the first impacts of the removal works will be closures of both station car parks on 8 August 2019. Additional car parks will be made available at Southland and Parkdale stations. Locations and details of these car parks are available on the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) website. Residents can also sign up to receive email updates about the project via this website.

Bayside residents may opt to use the Sandringham line, however, parking at this location is limited. It is suggested that commuters look at alternative parking arrangements within the vicinity of the station. Bayside City Council also encourages sustainable alternatives such as bus, cycle or walking to the station where possible.
