Nominations for the City of Cessnock Hall of Fame are now open. The City of Cessnock Hall of Fame celebrates local individuals and families who have a strong association with the local government area and have attained noteworthy distinction in their field of endeavour.
Inductees are honoured for their tremendous achievements and contributions. There are six categories of recognition:
Arts Sport Public Service Science Business Meritorious FamiliesPrevious inductees to the City of Cessnock Hall of Fame include Arthur Francis CSC, OAM for his commendable military achievements and Uncle Les Elvin for his distinguished efforts in the education and art in the Aboriginal community of Cessnock.
Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said this is an opportunity to recognise exceptional individuals in our community.
“I encourage everyone to take a stroll around our Hall of Fame at the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre and learn about those who have been inducted. We are truly home to some special and talented people.”
