Youth Mayor steps down

It is with regret and understanding that I inform the Frankston City community our 2019 Youth Mayor Aaron Quarrell has decided to step down from the position due to his growing professional commitments.

Aaron has been an absolute pleasure to work with during his time as Youth Mayor and is widely regarded amongst officers as a respectful man whose maturity is demonstrated through the kindness and courtesy he shows to all.

Aaron’s passion for helping others is reflected in his professional life where he provides technology education opportunities to disadvantaged youth.

It is unfortunate Aaron is unable to fulfil his term as Youth Mayor, however, I respect his decision and on behalf of Council, thank him for his hard work representing Frankston City youth. 

Council will now consider whether to appoint a replacement Youth Mayor or leave the position vacant until 2020 at a future council meeting.
