Taste buds are set to explode this August as the inaugural Burger Off challenge chomps its way across Frankston City with local restaurants and cafes vying for the ultimate bragging rights.
Frankston City Mayor, Michael O’Reilly said he was stoked to see the inaugural Burger Off launched with so many local businesses busting to be a part of the challenge.
“Who will have the best burger in Frankston City? Your vote decides,” said the Mayor.
“There’s a burger for every day of August competing for the ultimate Burger Off bragging rights.
“Each restaurant or café has created a burger especially for the Burger Off competition. Make sure you visit as many participating restaurants and cafes as possible, purchase their special Burger Off creation and rate it via the Burger Off website.
“Get your mates together and head to your local participating restaurant and you too can win some great prizes for rating your burger via the Burger Off website.”
Frankston City’s Burger Off has already attracted the attention of Frankston’s very own professional eater and Australian Ninja Warrior competitor, Riley ‘Chompamatic’ Murphy.
“The challenge has been set and it’s a huge commitment to get around and eat every burger across Frankston City during Burger Off, but if anyone can do it – it’s me,” said Chomp.
“I’ve had a sneak peek at some of the Burger Off creations and I can’t wait to get my mouth around them.
“Find your burger, chomp it down and make your vote count. At the end of August one venue will be crowned the ultimate burger champion and we’ll find out exactly who has the best burger in all the south east.”
Be sure to follow @burgeroff_frankston on Instagram and post your burger experiences using the hashtag #enjoyeveryburger to be in the running to win vouchers to the participating restaurants and cafes, to keep sampling burger creations.
