Gannawarra Shire Council is encouraging local contractors to register their details with Council to be considered for work on Council-managed projects.
Council oversees a range of projects each financial year, from business maintenance through to major items completed annually as part of its Capital Works program.
“Council uses a vast range of contractors for the numerous projects it undertakes,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.
“Contractors must meet our pre-approved contractor requirements prior to providing any service to the organisation.”
To be an approved contractor, contractors must hold current insurances, licenses, safety documentation and any other requirements relevant to their industry.
“Being an approved contractor does not guarantee work, however the contractor becomes a legitimate option for Council to use,” Mayor Learmonth said.
Contractors interested in registering their details can contact Council on (03) 5450 9333.
