Shire Statement: Thomas Road Community Meeting 9 July 2019

Last night a community meeting was held by Kwinana MLA Roger Cook to discuss concerns regarding the safety of Thomas Road in Casuarina, Oakford and Byford.

Unfortunately the Shire did not receive formal notification of the meeting and subsequently was not represented at the meeting.

We wish to advise the community that the Shire is committed to working with our community, the City of Kwinana, State and Federal Governments, local politicians and Main Roads WA to secure funding to address concerns relating to speed, lighting, safety, infrastructure upgrades and future planning of Thomas Road.

We will continue to update our community about future community meetings and outcomes relating to Thomas Road via our website, social media channels and monthly eNewsletter.
