The Woodend Transfer Station will be closed to the public at times from Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August for public safety reasons while earthworks take place.
New sheds are being constructed at Council’s transfer stations in Woodend, Romsey and Kyneton in order to store e-waste.
A Victorian Government ban on e-waste in bins and landfills came into effect on 1 July.
E-waste can be dropped off for free at Council’s transfer stations, where it will be stored prior to reprocessing.
While the majority of shed construction works at transfer stations will take place without impacting the everyday operation of the transfer station, some works will require temporary closures.
The Kyneton Transfer Station will be opened on the days the Woodend facility is unavailable.
