If you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with our recycling trucks, come along to Council’s inaugural open day at the Woodend Operations Centre.
You can also enjoy a free sausage sizzle at this free community event next month and learn about how Council manages waste and recycling. It’s also a chance to find out more about some of the new projects Council has planned for the coming year, such as the Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) service rolling out in early 2020.
At the family-friendly open day, children will be able to take part in recycling activities with the chance to win a prize. Council’s waste contractor Four Seasons Waste will bring along a recycling truck so everyone can get a close-up look.
The open day will be held the Woodend Operations Centre, 81 Old Lancefield Road, Woodend North, from 10am to noon on Saturday 10 August.
A FOGO information session will run from 10.30am to 11am.
