The amendment relates to land described as Part CA 9 Section 7 Township of Merbein. The land is immediately south of the railway line and east of Main Avenue (Calder Highway).
The rezoning reflects the change in the type of ownership of the land, from a public entity to a private business, and from VicTrack to Lower Murray Water. This will facilitate and protect future development of the existing multimodal freight transport hub.
