Pool update. Good news! The upgrade works to the Cooktown Swimming Pool are nearing completion. All major works have now been completed, which includes upgrades to the changing rooms, retiling of the pool and a new paint job. Some minor works are currently being completed and should be finished shortly. The pool will be refilled and the water treated, before a community barbecue to celebrate the reopening of the pool during mid-August. Keep an eye on Facebook for further updates. Council acknowledges the on-going support of the Cooktown State School in delivering this project.
