It’s time for the City of Parramatta’s residents to start getting their gardens ready for the annual Spring Garden Competition.
The City of Parramatta’s Spring Garden Competition is open to all residents, businesses and organisations living, working, or residing in the City of Parramatta area.
We are offering prizes to the value of $400 for individuals, and $500 for groups. There are eight judging categories as set out below - A category for every garden no matter how big or small!

Competition Rules The competition is open to any person who owns or occupies residential, commercial, industrial or school premises in the City of Parramatta Local Government Area. Competitors may enter a garden in more than one category, however, a garden can only receive one prize. Council reserves the right to judge a garden in a different category to the one nominated where appropriate. Entrants will be notified of the date and time the judging panel will visit their garden (in September 2019). Prizes will be awarded for overall design and appearance once all eligible entries have been evaluated Winners will be chosen and all entrants will be invited to attend an awards presentation, with details to be forwarded to entrants by phone or email. The judge’s decision is final. There are no appeals. Prize cheques will be posted to the winners and winners published on the COP website. Total prize pool = $3,500 (refer to table above for details).
