Nominations are now open for the 2020 City of Parramatta Australia Day Awards, which honour individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to the arts, sport, culture, or community projects across the Parramatta local government area.

“Australia Day is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate our unsung heroes who work so hard to make our city a better place for everyone,” City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Andrew Wilson said.

“I’m always touched by the nominations we receive – it shows the diversity and community spirit of those who call the City of Parramatta home. If you know someone who has truly made a difference, whether it’s your friend, relative, colleague or next door neighbour, nominate them today!”

Nomination categories this year include:

Citizen of the Year Young Citizen of the Year Senior Citizen of the Year Volunteer of the Year Arts & Cultural Award Sports Achievement Award Community Group Award

Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 22 November 2019.

City of Parramatta Council will host the 2020 City of Parramatta Australia Day Awards on Friday 17 January 2020 at Rosehill Gardens.
