Regional Park Proposal – Have Your Say
Shire of Harvey 1 Aug 2019

A new regional park is proposed in the Greater Bunbury area consisting of the Preston River to Ocean Regional Park and the Leschenault Regional Park.

What is happening now? Regional Parks are a mixture of bushland reserves and parklands that are managed by a range of agencies, including the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and local government.

DBCA’s Parks and Wildlife Service is responsible for coordinating the establishment and management of the new regional park, including preparation of a management plan that will guide future on-ground management for all local and State Government management agencies.

The draft management plan is expected to be completed early in 2020, at which point it will be formally released for public comment.

Have your say. You are invited to have your say on what values and management issues are of most interest to you and how you think this regional park should be managed into the future.
