Enrolments for Gannawarra Shire Council’s four kindergartens for 2020 will open on Monday, 5 August 2019.
Parents and guardians of children who are turning four years of age before 30 April 2020 are encouraged to contact the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre to obtain an enrolment pack.
“Enrolling your child into kindergarten is the first step in their formal education journey,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.
“Council is proud to manage and offer kindergarten education at our facilities located at Cohuna, Kerang, Koondrook and Leitchville.”
Enrolment packs must be returned to the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre before round one applications close at 5pm on Friday, 6 September 2019.
“Parents and guardians can prepare now by having a number of documents ready. These include their child’s current immunisation history statement, any applicable court orders and, if applicable, a signed Medical Action Plan from their child’s doctor,” Mayor Learmonth said.
“Families who return completed forms by the round one closing date are more likely to be allocated the days they wish their child to attend.”
To obtain an enrolment pack, visit the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre, located at 2 Murray Street, Kerang, or phone (03) 5452 1357.
