Branxton Community Hall attendees can look forward to improved safety and accessibility as a number of upgrades to the lighting and the ladies toilets have occurred at this important community facility.
The Branxton Community Hall has been a fixture since its establishment during the Greta Migrant Camp and Army Camp. The Hall remains a much loved and well utilised facility hosting a number of local community groups and events including Yoga classes, charity events, Gospel church and Karate lessons.
The upgrade to the Hall’s lighting will deliver safe access for all users and provide an extra level of security. The ladies toilet upgrades included tiling, painting, new PC items, installation of baby change table and partitions.
Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said it’s fantastic to deliver this important project to the community.
“We recognise the importance of the Branxton Community Hall as a space for a number of community groups.”
The lighting upgrade was funded by the Branxton Community Hall Section 355 Volunteer Committee and the ladies toilet upgrades was funded by Council through the Open Space and Community Facilities capital works program.
