Opportunities to get involved and learn something new are on offer to people of all ages at this year’s Wyndham Learning Festival.
Now in its fourth year, the festival program features more than 100 events to be held across Wyndham, with each encouraging residents to learn something new.
Wyndham City’s Learning City Portfolio Holder Cr Josh Gilligan said there was something for everybody at this year’s festival.
“Learning is not limited by age – it happens across all stages of life,” Cr Gilligan said.
“The diverse program creates a positive learning space for our younger residents, but also caters for older people who wish to continue their journey with knowledge.”
“Regardless of your gender, age, educational or cultural background, there are programs to teach you something new. The Festival shows that we never stop learning.”
“The many events at this year’s festival includes a talk by ABC’s War on Waste star Craig Reucassel; the Young Scientist of Wyndham Competition; the Wyndham Park Party in the Precinct and the ever-popular Rhyme Time at the Werribee Zoo.”
“The festival’s diverse range of activities include gardening, craft, cooking, music, sports, coding, IT, art, environmental activities and more: over 100 free events across Wyndham.”
“The festival, taking place from September 1 to 8, is run by Wyndham Community and Education Centre and supported by Wyndham City Council.
