Celebrate Senior’s Week is the message from Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC), with events planned throughout the region.
TRC Chair of the Tourism and Events committee said this year’s senior’s concerts will shake, rattle and roll you with the flip, flop and fly of Memphis Moovers.
“This year, Council has the bold ambitions to celebrate a Queensland for all ages with five morning teas and concerts as part of Seniors Week across our stunning region,” Cr McDonald said.
“Seniors Week is an opportunity for people of all ages to get together and celebrate the valuable contributions of older people.
“This year Queensland Seniors Week will be celebrated from 17–25 August, Cr McDonald said.
“Each of the Toowoomba Region’s free events will begin with a morning tea at 9.30am.
“So get your grooves movin’ with the Memphis Movers at the concerts this Senior’s Week.
“While you are at it, grab the opportunity to join with people of all ages and backgrounds and celebrate a ‘Queensland for All Ages’.”
