Free mentoring for community groups

Every three months Community Compass runs free mentoring sessions for not-for-profit groups, providing advice on governance processes and community bookkeeping, thanks to Council.

These sessions must be booked in advance, and Community Compass undertakes a pre-assessment beforehand.

This helps community group volunteers such as treasurers, board or committee members, managers and other key organisational members, and includes: Understanding financial reports, understanding accounting software, identifying problem areas, audit preparation, bookkeeping and finance support.

This supports community group treasurers, board or committee members, managers and other key organisational members, and includes: Understanding the best practice processes for governing your community organisation, understanding where to seek legal assistance, identifying problem areas, tools and tips and further support.
