With 20,000 people aged 12-25 living in Ballarat, the Awards are an opportunity to recognise the valuable contribution that young people make to our community.

There are many ways young people contribute to our community – through sporting clubs, volunteering, playing music, developing artwork, student leadership initiatives, youth groups, religious groups and environmental activities, to name a few.

Created in 2005, the Youth Awards highlight and celebrate young achievers in 11 categories, ranging from the arts to sports, community group initiatives, volunteer recognition and much more. The Youth Awards are an annual initiative of the Youth Council volunteers who contribute their time to planning and delivering the Awards.

The City of Ballarat Youth Awards encourage young people to continue adding to and improving the culture and livelihood of our community.
