Temporary Closure of Portland Landfill

Lithgow City Council News 19 Aug 2019

Lithgow City Council wishes to advise the temporary closure of Portland Landfill on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th August 2019 to allow earthworks to take place safely.

The temporary closure for 2 days is necessary to allow the safe use of large machinery to place, compact and cover the existing waste then create an access for the new landfill cell.

Residents affected may use the Wallerawang landfill on the days of the scheduled closure or the Lithgow solid waste facility to ensure there is minimal inconvenience.
