Seeking Expressions of Interest - Cafe Operator for the new Springvale Community Precinct Cafe

Greater Dandenong is opening a new Community Precinct in Springvale in March 2020. This will be home to world-class community facilities including a customer service centre, library, historical collections, community meeting rooms, programmable event places and new open spaces. This precinct will exist for Greater Dandenong communities to live, learn, work, play and explore.
This new precinct will house a new café and Council is looking for a savvy, perceptive and experienced café operator from either the commercial or social enterprise sectors who can deliver a welcoming space that provides affordable and responsible refreshments and snacks to users of the Springvale Community Precinct.
Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from interested operators up until the end of September 2019.
This Expression of Interest process will take the form of a significant questionnaire and a practical coffee making exam in front of a very discerning panel. It will have a rigorous selection process to determine the right operator for this café and the communities it will be serving and that is all prior to lease negotiations.
