Brown Road – Road Reconstruction and Drainage Works

Burdekin Shire Council wishes to advise that road reconstruction and drainage works will commence on Brown Road towards the Pelican Road intersection on Monday 19 August 2019 continuing approximately until November 2019, weather permitting.

The drainage works will be constructed under traffic lights from Monday 19 August until approximately Friday 6 September 2019, motorists should expect delays.  A full road closure will be in place from Monday 9 September 2019 for road reconstruction works to be undertaken.  A detour will be in place via Shepherd Road and Pelican Road.

Motorists are asked to obey all directional signs and any instructions from traffic controllers or on-site personnel for their own safety and the safety of Council’s workforce.
