Underground Power Proposal

The Town of Bassendean and Westerrn Power have had early discussions regarding a proposal for underground power primarily in the area north of the train line around Eden Hill. Before proceeding further, Western Power is internally progressing the necessary steps to firm up a business case to assess the financial viability of the project. This includes further clarifying the scope and providing more precise costings. A presentation to Council in the next few months will be made once this work is undertaken. A key component of this project is community engagement to ensure all residents that are likely to be impacted understand what is being proposed, the benefits of underground power and the associated costs. Further updates will be provided as they come to hand.
