Application For an Industry Extractive – Asphalt Plant Available for Inspection

Extension of Time for Public Comment The Shire of Capel is extending the comment period for submissions on the proposed for two more weeks. The proposal has attracted a high level of public interest, reflected in numerous submissions. Due to this, the submission period is extended from Thursday 19 September to Thursday 3 October 2019. Lot 3 Allenville Road, Gelorup

The Shire has received an application from Allerding and Associates for the use of Industry Extractive – Asphalt Plant. The proposed development involves an asphalt plant at Lot 3 Allenville Road, Gelorup.

The proposal is summarised as follows:

a) The proposed plant will use aggregates from hard rock quarry as inputs in the asphalt production process. The proposed plant will occur on part of lot 3 which is also the location of the Gelorup Quarry operations.

b) Submitted with the application is the development report which addresses details of production process and site operations and emissions management including dust, noise and odour.
