The Coastal Environment Centre at North Narrabeen is celebrating ‘Biodiversity Month’ with a free, action-packed program of Open Day activities (10am - 1pm, Saturday, 7 September).
Meet native animals. Then learn all about them from wildlife experts.
Learn how to turn your garden into a wildlife haven for possums and how to make a ‘bee hotel’.
Find out how to make biodegradable wrapping out of beeswax.
Enjoy a ‘pedal-powered’ blender bike smoothie.
Planting seed balls is a great way to reseed the landscape while teaching kids the importance of native plants and the environment. Our experts will show you how.
Take part in a Q&A about composting and worm farms. And don’t miss our native plant give-away with loads of free information about the plants, too.
We will also have a face painter, a coffee cart, games, live music, and of course, all of the regular displays on show at the Centre.
No bookings are necessary, just come to the CEC and join in!
Biodiversity Month is held in September each year and aims to promote the importance of protecting, conserving and improving biodiversity both within Australia and across the world.
