Engaging year for Cairns Libraries

Cairns Libraries delivered 664 events and activities which were attended by over 24,000 people during the 2018/19 financial year.

Partnerships with over 20 different individuals, organisations and Council units helped to provide a wide range of programs, events and activities.

The collaborations and partnerships aligned with Libraries’ Strategic Plan 2019- 2023, and included reading and writing programs, engagement with the indigenous groups, author talks, exhibitions, cultural and community engagement, lifestyle and sustainability education, and information workshops.
