Free guided tours of Bayside's heathland sanctuaries

Bayside's six heathland sanctuaries are some Bayside's best kept open space secrets.Throughout September you can discover these natural wonderlands that are home to indigenous wildlife which help to protect and enhance the biodiversity of Bayside.

Spring is the perfect time to see the sanctuaries at their best. Knowledgeable volunteers will share their expertise with you and introduce you to the many colourful and vibrant healthland species and wildflowers that once covered Bayside.

The first of our special tours is THIS SUNDAY at Cheltenham Park Flora and Fauna Reserve, Park Road, Cheltenham  from 10am to 12pm.

Gramatan Avenue Heathland Sanctuary, Beaumaris 2pm to 4pm Sundays throughout September

Bay Road Heathland Sanctuary, Sandringham 2pm to 4pm Sundays from 11 August - 29 September

Cheltenham Park Flora and Fauna Reserve, Park Road, Cheltenham -10am to 12pm Sunday 1 September

George Street Heathland and Woodland Reserve, Sandringham - 10am to 12pm Sunday 15 September

Balcombe Park Reserve, Balcombe Road, Beaumaris - 10am to 12pm, Sunday 29 September

Long Hollow Heathland Sanctuary, Reserve Road Beaumaris -10am to 12noon Sunday 29 September
